State olympic team places 2nd in Florida

The ’95 Louisiana Olympic Development Girl’s team that participated in the Disney Cup Tournament July 11 through July 15.

Pictured are: Kimberly Porche (second row, first from the left) of St. Charles Parish was selected as a member of the ’95 Louisiana Olympic Development Girl’s team.

This is the first year that Louisiana has selected a team in this age.

The ’95 girls participated at the Disney Cup, July 11 through the 15 at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

The team placed 2nd competing against North Carolina, Florida and New Jersey. Participating teams also included Mexico and Brazil.
