Two local women were picked to be Honeybees for the New Orleans Hornets 2007-2008 basketball season.

Martine Duhe (pictured far right), 20, daughter of Sonia and Blake Duhe of Norco and Krista Neal (pictured at right), 18, daughter of Marie and Ricky Moran of Luling were among 24 chosen out of 140 women who tried out.

The women were chosen based on their performance of two dance routines, how well they interacted with people, and how they appeared on camera.

This will be Martineís third year as a honeybee and Kristaís first. Both are very excited about being a part of the Hornetís organization because this year for the first time the Hornets will be hosting an NBA playoff game.

Honeybees perform at all the home games and help promote the Hornets year-round.
