LOOKING BACK. The Theodore Schmill family hosted a family reunion on June 16.

The event was held at the VFW Hall on Angus Rd. in Luling. Honored were the descendents of Otto Carl Frederich Schmill. He migrated to the United States from Germany in 1883 and settled in Des Allemands. Families from Illinois, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana attended the event. There were 5 generations represented. A total of 14 families, 165 adults and children attended. Everyone enjoyed seeing family members and meeting new ones. They all enjoyed sharing pictures and family stories of younger days.
