Man’s body found in river
A missing Houma inmate’s body was discovered in the Mississippi River near the Hale Boggs Bridge in Luling, according to the St. Charles parish Sheriff’s Office.
Paul Jackson, 23, was discovered dead in the water near the Luling Bridge at approximately 3:49 a.m. on the morning of June 21.
Jackson, who was part of a inmate work release program, had been missing since May 27 after he was last seen swimming off of a barge in St. James Parish. He was reported missing by the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana Coast Guard.
