Women pin down intruder
--and call police
A St. Rose man was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and sexual battery after he snuck into a Bonura Drive home and allegedly touched two women inappropriately while they slept.
Jose Eric Vasquez, 21, of 50 Bonura Dr., was arrested by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office after they arrived on the scene and found two women restraining Vasquez in their home until police arrived.
According to police reports, Vasquez snuck into the Bonura Drive home at around 4:00 a.m. on the morning of June 22 and groped one of the two women sleeping in the bedroom of the residence.
The woman said she woke up to a grasping hand touching her buttocks. The woman quickly grabbed the hand to find Vasquez on the floor near the bedside. The two females grabbed Vasquez while the daughter of one of the women who was also in the house called 911.
They held down Vasquez until police arrived and placed him under arrest. He is currently being held in the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility.
