Jose Aman Ta’bora

Jose Aman Ta’bora passed away on Saturday, June 9 at 1:24 p.m. in LaPlace. Husband of the late M. Hortensia Ta’bora. Son of the late Daniel and Maria Rapalo Ta’bora. Father of Jose Aman Ta’bora, Jr. Allan E. Ta’bora, Ledda Montellh, Mayra White, Mirna Rodriguez, the late Daniel Ta’bora and Sergio Ta’bora. Brother of Elan Ta’bora, Ofelia Vitanza, the late Tito Ta’bora, Fernel Ta’bora, and Rosa Soto. Grandfather of the late Michael Jason Montheailh. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Age 92, a native of Honduras and a resident of Destrehan. Mas of Christain Burial at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. Visitation at Alexander Funeral Home in Norco from 9 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, June 13.

Leverne Badeaux

Leverne Marle Badeaux on Wednesday, June 6 at 8:02 p.m. in Destrehan. Wife of the late Anthony Pecora. Daughter of the late Lolan and Gladys Periloux Badeaux. Mother and mother-in-law of Chuck and Cathy Periloux, Kathy and Gregory Clement, Pat Perilous an dthe late Bryan Periloux. Sister of the late Gladys Mae Sutton and Lolan “Blue” Badeaux, Jr. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Age 79. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Destrehan. Special thanks to Ormond Nursing and Care center of Destrehan. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.on Monday, June 11 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Interment in Church Mausoleum. Memorial Gathering at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Monday. Arrangements are by Alexander Funeral Homes.

Ama Dufrene Sevin

Ama Dufrene Sevin passed away on Friday, June 15 in Metairie. Beloved wife of the late Hayes Savoie by first marriage and the late Earl Sevin, Sr. by second marriage. Mother of Earl Sevin, Jr., Willis Dufrene, Angie Fruge, Yvonne Petit and the late Arnold Sevin, Sr. Daughter of the late Maloney and Clementine Matherene Dufrene. Sister of Raymond, Wilmer, Lloyd Dufrene, Loretta D. Landry and the late Murphy. Alvin J. Dufrene and Leta Dufrene. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 great great grandchild. A native and resident of Des Allemands, age 87. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious services at First Assembly of God Church, Des Allemands on Monday, June 18 at 11 am. Interment mennonite Cemetery, Des Allemands. Visitation from 9 am until 11 am on Monday at First Assembly of God Church. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

Richard Benoit, Sr.

Richard H. Benoit, Sr. passed away on Friday, June 15 at his residences. Beloved husband of Dorothy Boyer Benoit for 52 years. Father of Sherry Dufrene and her husband Derril, Terry Robert and her husband Kelvin and Richard Henry Benoit, Jr. Grandfather of Jessica S. Cortez, Tanya Danos, Heather Dufrene, Richard “Justin” Benoit, Brittany Lee Robert, and McKenzie Lirette. Great grandfather of Courtney Crockett, Dylan Crockett, Michael Danos, Chanse Benoit and Leslie Benoit. Son of the late Henry Alida Benoit Brother of Carmen Amy. Uncle of O.J. Legendre and his wife Opal and Gary Legendre a nd his wife Alvina. A native of Biddeford, Maine and a resident of Paradis. Age 77 years. He was a Korean War Veteran and a retired police officer for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department, whom he considered his second family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis on Tuesday, June 19 at 11: 00 am. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland. Visitation from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday and from 8:00 am until funeral time on Tuesday at the church. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
