The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's office arrested a Destrehan man June 9 after he allegedly smoked marijuana with his 10 year-old son, authorities said.

The 30 year-old Destrehan man whose identity is being withheld to protect the victim, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, and illegal use of a controlled substance in the presence of a person under 17 years of age after he smoked marijuana with his son in their garage.

Officers arrested the man after his son told the mother that the two had smoked the drug in their garage on June 7.
He was released June 12 from the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility on a $50,000 bond.
