Man, 37, killed in motorcycle crash

Louisiana State Troopers investigated a fatal accident in Boutte on the afternoon of May 6. According to Troop B Spokesman Joseph Piglia.

Nicholas L. Boudoin, Jr., 37, of Edgard was driving his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle down Paul Mallard Road when he collided with a Ford Taurus driven by Dana K. Mccoy, 27 of Boutte.

Mccoy was at a stop sign at the intersection of the Paul Maillard Road and Turner Lane when she proceeded to turn left onto Paul Maillard, which Boudoin was traveling down, crossing into his lane of traffic.

The motorcycle struck the Taurus on its left front ejecting Boudoin from the motorcycle. Boudoin sustained fatal injuries during the crash. He was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident.

No charges had been filed as of press time.
