STAR STRUCK. Herald-Guide intern, Megan Waters, spotted Washington Redskins safety draft, LaRon Landry, at a Hahnville High spring football practice session and he was more than happy to ham it up for the camera along with HHS football coach Lou Valdin.

LaRon is a HHS graduate who was ranked as the No. 5 athlete in the United States and was a four-year starting safety for the Louisiana State University Tigers. His parents are Frank and Rhonda Landry of Ama and has two brothers, Derik and Dawan. Dawan also plays professional ball with the Baltimore Ravens.
