HHS girls golf team competes like pros at spring regional tourney

The HHS Girls Golf Team competed in the Division I Region III golf tournament held at Colonial Golf & Country Club in Harahan on April 11. The team fared well placing 4th in the competition. Allie Petit placed 2nd with a score of 85. Teammate Elizabeth Suss was also named a tournament medalist with a score of 117.

The girls headed to Copper Mill in Zachary for the 2007 LHSAA Girls Division I State Golf Tournament on April 16and 17th.  The team placed 7th in the state.

Elizabeth continued her improved play with a 1st round score of 114 and 2nd round score of 101.  Allie continued her steady play with an 84 in the 1st round and a 87 in the second round.

The girls are coached by Ronnie Cantrelle and Jarrett Walker.

With the assistance of a K-9 officer, police were able to track down a 23-year-old man who reportedly stole items from a car and broke into a house early Friday morning.
