A record 44 boats braved the elements August 23, to fish the 8th Annual Fishing for Frankie Memorial Bass Tournament at the old Somme's Marina in Des Allemands. Cash prizes were given for 8 places with 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners and the biggest bass winner receiving plaques in addition to cash winnings.
