Every Friday during lent the Knights of Columbus are frying fish throughout St. Charles Parish. locations include St. Charles Borremeo in Destrehan, Holy Family Church in Luling, the KC Hall on Spruce St. in Norco, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. Dinners for sale beginning at 5 p.m. First come, first served.

NEW ORLEANS - The Homeless and Hungry Ministry of the Center of Jesus the Lord, 1236 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, prepares and brings hot meals to "the wall" on Elysian Fields where many hungry and homeless people gather.

Bayou Gauche community residents had barraged the St. Charles Parish Planning Commission with questions, a town meeting was scheduled to address them and then landowner Cecil Sumners withdrew his permit application Tuesday for the lake that drew all this attention.
