SCP Sheriff replaces aging office with one thatís factory-fresh

... and itís about time, too. The old unit served the parish well for 10 years. But repairs required because of roof damaged caused by Hurricane Katrina made the decision to replace it a no-brainer.

The office is home to the Special Services Division of the St. Charles Parish Sheriffís Office. The cost of the new unit: $151,616.

ďWe love the new trailer because it is user friendly and provides us with a more conducive work layout,Ē Capt. Patrick Yoes, spokesman for the St. Charles Parish Sheriffís office, said.

ďThe old trailer will be refurbished and moved to to the firing range which is located at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility. Weíll get it out there in two weeks.Ē
