Andrew Key Wood has been inducted into the Eagle Scout Court of Honor. He is a senior at HHS and a member of Troop 370. He is the son of proud parents Andy and Jo Rae Wood of Luling.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyron Downing has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Downing is the son of Carrie Downing of Terrace St., in Destrehan, and a 2006 graduate of Destrehan High School.

Judge Mary Ann Lemmon will be inducted into the Louisiana Center for Women and Government's Hall of Fame on March 10. This will mark the first time the honor has been awarded to a St. Charles Parish resident.

A native of Hahnville, Lemmon has played an integral part in St. Charles Parish and throughout Louisiana as an attorney, judge, and community member.

Along with holding a Federal Judgeship, Lemmon has been a strong advocate of women's issues including mental health, domestic violence, literacy and education.

She is also an American Heart Association recruiter and was the founding president of the St. Charles Parish League of Women Voters.
