United Way’s 5K Bridge Run is on
The cost is $20 before April 9 and $25 after. The race starts on April 14 at 8:30 a.m.
You’ll run from the East Bank Bridge Park to the West Bank Bridge Park with activities for the whole family like a rock climbing wall and face painting.

The Pirates Softball Club will hold a 25th anniversary celebration March 2 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the St. John Community Center, 2900 U.S. 51 in LaPlace. The Louisiana Razorbacks football team will hold tryouts for men 19-30. The team is an adult amateur minor leaague football team. The team is a member of the North American Football League. Hahnville High School will host the Don Raymond relays March 16 at 3:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium on Highway 90 in Boutte. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.2007-2008 HHS Hi-Stepper tryouts are March 8
There will be an informational meeting about Hi-Stepper tryouts for the 2007-2008 school year on March 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the HHS Auditorium.
At the meeting, sponsors will discuss all necessary information regarding paperwork and requirements for tryouts. Those interested in trying out who are unable to attend the meeting should contact Miss Matherne at 985-758-7537. A mandatory instructional workshop is April 16-19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the gym.
