BERTILE DUFRENE BOWNDS

Bertile Dufrene Bownds passed away on Tuesday, Feb 13. in Kenner, LA. She was the beloved wife of the late William Moda Bownds. Daughter of the late Joseph and Argentine Matherne Dufrene. Sister of Harris Dufrene and the late Alvin, Louis, Lawrence, Harry, Ernest Dufrene, Alida Barrios, Cecile Tamburello, Elle Dufrene, Mildred Reed, and Irene Hano.

She was a native of St. Charles Parish and a resident of Paradis, LA. Age 85 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on February 16 at 1:00 p.m. with interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling. Visitation was held at 11:30 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
