Community shows it knows what matters

"This campaign was undoubtedly one of the most challenging in the history of the United Way of St. Charles," declared Denise Brodsky, Executive Director. "In the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita our resources were stretched and our resolve challenged, but thanks to the spirit and generosity of our community, we have come through with flying colors. As we like to say at United Way, our friends and supporters know what really matters."
Joe Venable, Vice- President of Operations, Entergy, Waterford 3, served as Chairman and Gary Simmons, Vice President and General Manager of Valero, served as Co-Chair of this historic campaign. "Their leadership, dedication and commitment to the success of this year's campaign cannot be overstated," declared UWSC President Dennis Nuss. UWSC also recognizes with great appreciation the hundreds of hours that volunteers have given to make this achievement possible.
