IN THE CITY Mardi Gras photography exhibit

The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, University of New Orleans opens a special exhibition in honor of Carnival titled The Sleep of Reason – Mardi Gras Photographs by Lyle Bongé. Bongé’s photographs convey the feeling of revelry during Carnival season in the 1960’s. As Bongé’s subjects paraded in costume, Bongé dressed to immerse himself in the Mardi Gras merriment.
