As part of St. Charles Parish’s Bicentennial Celebration, the River Region Ballet has partnered with the Komenka Ethnic Dance Troupe to learn traditional German and French dances to honor the establishment of the German Coast.

River Region Ballet hosted Komenka for a day-long workshop in which the Junior Company dancers learned a traditional dance from Germany and the Company dancers learned a "Can-Can".
