“Both deputies involved in the traffic accident are doing fine. One returned to work right after the incident. The other is recovering from his injuries and is expected to return to work soon.”

- St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Capt. Pat Yoes on a freak accident involving Lt. Michael Bergeron and Deputy Jose Alvaranga, who collided head on in their patrol cars on River Road in Norco in early January.
