Retro 'bot is very cool. |
Tom Morris’s goggle-eyed robot looks like it came to us through a time warp.
And no wonder - it’s a retro version of a battery-operated “tin toy” that was popular during the heyday of cheesy sci-fi flicks back in the 1950s.
“I ordered it from a guy on eBay,” says Morris, 38, of Luling. “I’m bidding on another one now. I want to build a collection.”
Got something bigger, wilder or weirder than Tom’s robot? We want to feature YOU in the St. Charles Herald-Guide.
