Volunteers are saught to clear the many trees that Katrina knocked down throughout a nature trail area in the Spillway on Saturday, March 4.

Cutting crews will be provided by Dow St. Charles Operations, Motiva Norco Refinery and Valero. Each volunteer will recieve a t-shirt and lunch. Dow will provide gloves and refreshments for volunteers. Volunteers will assist in clearing the already cut wood off of the paths. The nature trail is located where the Spillway’s East Guide levee meets Lake Ponchartrain. It is easily accessed by turning onto the East Guide Levee for about 2.5 miles. For more information contact Barry Guillot at 504-256-4731.
