TOWN TALK with Colette Lottinger
Saint’s player Reggie Bush was fun to watch when he made his somersaulted touchdown and danced his jazzy jig at Sunday’s playoff game against the Bears. He did get reprimanded for it by Coach Sean Payton and probably angered the Bears enough to do twice what it took for them to win. It was a fun moment anyway...probably the best in the game.
Justices Harry and Mary Ann Lemmon and Lauren Lemmon were just three of the local fans who went to the windy city for the NFC game on Soldier Field, Sunday.
Welcome back to Rev. George Fischer and Louise Fischer Broach who just returned from their Honeymoon cruise. The Fischers were married in November by Pastor Lisa Easterling at First Union Presbyterian Church on Lakewood Drive.
Rev. Easterling has been instrumental in helping to rebuild devastated areas in the New Orleans area with her “fish camp” workers.
It was exciting for me to meet Laura Bush when she came to Cafe Reconcile in New Orleans on Jan. 9. My son-in-law, Craig Cuccia introduced me as his mother-in-law and she shook my hand. She had come to meet with young people from 18 to 21 who are trying to make a difference in their lives by learning the culinary trade.
Craig and Lisa Cuccia were invited to the White House. Craig was in Laura Bush’s box during the State of the Union Address given by the President on Tuesday night. By the time this goes to press they will not be back yet.
It was very nice of Father John Perrino to be supportive of St. Charles Social Concerns at Sunday’s Mass. But please, please, if you have anything good to donate, donate it during open hours between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
If you really want to be supportive of Social Concerns, don’t bring your broken furniture.
They do not have anyone there who can fix it...maybe if any of you reading this would like to offer assistance to fix furniture...it would be a good thing.
And if any of you would like to volunteer time or talent that would be good too.
