Throughout Aug. 31 all cat adoptions have been reduced to $40 due to overflow of felines at the St. Charles parish Animal Shelter.

This week’s Humane Society showcase pets are Daisy, Peach and Luigi and all fall under the special adoption rate. Daisy, Peach and Luigi are three tabby kittens three and a half months old.

“These adorable kittens will entertain you with their playing! They are all ready to get on the runway and race out of the shelter and into your arms,” Jackie Boudreaux, president of the Humane Society, said. “We encourage residents to stop in and adopt a pet, which in save a life.”

In addition to these cats, the Humane Society says there are plenty of very playful pets at the shelter whose only wish is to have a home.

The St. Charles Animal Parish Shelter is located at 921 Rue Cannes in Luling. For more information on pet adoptions, call (985) 783-5010.
