The competitive dance team from Kelli’s Kreative Dance in Destrehan had the highest overall score of all groups in the 8 and under age category at the Starbound National Finals held July 6-8 in San Antonio, Texas.

The group competed with their tap routine “Boogie Fever,” which was coached and choreographed by Micque Voges and assisted by Lauren Hayes. In addition to the High Score award, the group also won an Elite Gold award for top adjudication (highest score category).

The dancers qualified for the National Finals due to their score at the regional competition held in Baton Rouge in March where they also took home a High Score award.
