Cynsere Griffin, a student at Lakewood Elementary, won the statewide Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest for the 9-year-old age group.

The contest was held at Teurlings High School in Lafayette. Griffin was sponsored by Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 9933 in Luling.
