DESTREHAN – Beth Moncel, author of the popular food blog Budget Bytes (www.budgetbytes.com) will speak at the St. Charles Parish East Regional Library on Saturday, July 5 at 10 a.m.

Unwilling to sacrifice eating healthy and tasty food—and armed with a degree in nutritional science—Moncel began tracking her food costs with obsessive precision and soon cut her grocery bill in half. Over the past five years she has been sharing tips and techniques to cooking delicious meals on a budget on her blog. Moncel published her first cookbook in February. She will discuss her experiences as a blogger and cookbook author as well as provide samples of some of her recipes at the event.

All St. Charles Parish Library events are free of charge and open to the public.

The event will be held at the St. Charles Parish East Regional Library located at 160 W. Campus Dr. in Destrehan.

For additional information about these events or any others, call Lauren Pitz at 985-764-2366 or email lauren.pitz@myscpl.org.
