Fox 8 News Anchor John Snell Visits Satellite Center
Members of the Advanced Television Broadcasting classes at the Satellite Center in Luling recently received some insight into the TV news business.

Fox 8 News Anchor, John Snell, shared stories about his experiences in TV and Radio broadcasting. He talked about his journey in broadcasting, first as a news radio announcer while attending college at Southern Illinois University to his present job as a television news anchor in New Orleans.

Snell answered questions from the team members about his experiences during the recent hurricanes. He talked about riding out the storm at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office while part of the building collapsed and the chaotic times immediately after the storm passed. He also talked about his experiences covering the Pope’s visit to New Orleans and the numerous Presidential visits to South Louisiana.
