Man sought for attempted kidnapping in Boutte

Subject considered armed and dangerous

A Reserve man is being sought in the attempted kidnapping of a 17-year-old girl at gunpoint in Boutte on Saturday.

The teen told police that she was waiting for a ride outside of a nail salon on Highway 90 when she was approached by 21-year-old Devin Dwayne Donald, who was carrying a gun. Donald reportedly grabbed the teen and tried to force her into his car at gunpoint.

The teen was able to escape and ran to a nearby gas station, where she called 911.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office is currently searching for Donald, who is wanted on a charge of second-degree kidnapping. He is considered armed and dangerous.
