The Hahnville Tigers (15-9) stretched their district record to 5-1 with victories over H.L. Bourgeois and Central Lafourche during the week.

The Tigers exploded for six runs in the third inning on their way to a 10-7 victory over H.L. Bourgeois.

Hahnville’s big inning began with a two RBI single by Todd Porche and continued with an RBI single by Dylan Keller that put the Tigers on top 4-0.

Mark Abate then doubled to right field to drive in two more runs.

H.L. Bourgeois struck back in the bottom of the frame, scoring four runs to cut into the Hahnville lead.

In the fifth, the Tigers took a 7-5 lead after another RBI single by Keller, and the Tigers went on top 9-5 in the sixth on a two RBI single by Garret Smith.

Hahnville’s final run came in the top of the seventh inning when Peyton Robert drew a bases loaded walk to plate Keller.Keller went 2-for-3 from the plate with an RBI. Abate and Porche both made the most of their solo hits, each recording two RBIs.

Freshman Austin Perrin picked up the win for the Tigers, limiting H.L. Bourgeois to just one hit in four innings. He struck out five in the game.Hahnville 6††† Central Lafourche 1

The Tigers once again used a big inning to blow past Central Lafourche, 6-1.

Hahnville took a 5-1 lead in the third, with their first run of the inning coming on a fielder’s choice by Smith that plated Perrin. Keller increased the Tiger lead with a single, and Brock Harrell skied a sacrifice fly to put his team up 3-1.

Abate ended the inning’s scoring by blasting a two RBI double to deep left field.

Hahnville’s final run came in the fifth inning when Abate singled to center field to drive in Keller.

Abate led the Tigers from the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Keller, Harrell and Smith each drove in a run in the game.

Tyler Lamers picked up the win for Hahnville, giving up four hits while striking out seven in seven innings.
