Animal shelter community fundraiser

LULING – The St. Rose Elementary 4H Club has planned a third annual community fundraiser for the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter to be held on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Monsanto Park.

Each year, the event has raised about $600 in donations for the shelter. This year students named the event “Doggy Day Fun in the Sun.” The event is for the whole family including the dog (all dogs must be on a leash). The fundraiser will include activities, games, raffles, food, face painting and pictures.

Monsanto Park is located at 200 Sugarhouse Road in Luling.
