“Coming of Age” seminar

LAPLACE - River Parishes Hospital is hosting a “Coming of Age” seminar for girls on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m.

This seminar is designed for girls aged 9 to 12 who are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This seminar focuses on the physical and emotional journey a young girl goes through during puberty. Topics to be discussed include growth and development, menstruation, reproduction, self-esteem and personal hygiene. The fee for the seminar is $5 and may be paid at the door. Reservations are required, as space is limited.

The event will be held in the River Parishes Hospital Medical Pavilion, located at 502 Rue de Santé, Suite 309B in LaPlace.
