Five STAR team members from the Satellite Center presented a concurrent session at the Louisiana Computer Using Educators conference at the Riverside Hilton in downtown New Orleans to teachers, administrators and technology coordinators from parishes throughout Louisiana.

The presentation was part of a project discussing the use and importance of technology in education.

Their presentation focused on online tools teachers could use to make their instruction more engaging to their students. The team members shared Edmondo, Remind101, Socrative, Class Dojo and Polleverywere.

The team members choose these particular tools in hopes that teachers would use them to create an engaging community with their students.

Charles hit the brakes, but could not avoid clipping the back of the car.
“After that, I don’t even know what happened. We must have flipped,” Charles said.
