A man who was arrested as an accomplice to armed robbery has been cleared of any involvement in the crime.

Ryan A. Wilson, 23, of St. Rose, was arrested and charged as an accomplice to armed robbery after a St. Rose man was robbed at gunpoint on Dec. 19.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office originally released a statement linking Wilson to the crime saying he had been identified by the victim.

However, after Wilson’s arrest the victim gave a statement to the District Attorney’s office saying Wilson had nothing to do with the robbery.

“The victim came in and indicated that Ryan Wilson did not commit the crime,” St. Charles Parish District Attorney Joel Chaisson said.

Following the victim’s statement all charges were refused against Wilson.
