Smith is a reading teacher and has been teaching for ten years, five of which she has served as a teacher at Harry Hurst.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss., where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and also received the outstanding leadership award for her graduating class.
Smith is currently pursuing her master’s degree in psychology.
