Suicide prevention seminar
The event is free and open to the public.The presenter is Ellie Wainer, associated with the Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans. Ellie uses the Teen Life Counts program in local high schools in the metro New Orleans area.The focus of the evening will be the aftermath of a suicide, how to prevent them and what parents and teens can look for in those at risk. Anyone who is interested or concerned is invited to attend. The evening will take place in the church’s sanctuary.The event will be held at St. Charles United Methodist Church at 1905 Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan.
