The Hahnville boys soccer team is holding a No White Flags game when they host rival Destrehan on Thursday Dec. 5.

Donations collected from this event will go to the Gleason Initiative Foundation, which honors former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason in support of ALS research and public awareness of ALS.

Gleason was a key special team player for the Saints and was the special teams captain.  In January 2011, he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The team will be selling No White Flags bracelets as part of the promotion and will possibly have representatives of the Saints in attendance.

There will be jambalaya, hot dogs, chili and other concessions for sale at the game.  The evening will kick off with the girls’ game at 5 p.m. and the boys’ game following at 7 p.m.

Tickets are sold at the gate for all games.
