Week nine players of the week
On critical plays, Destrehan junior receiver Kirk Merritt had a pair of huge catches for 87 yards to help lead his team to a district title-clinching victory over East St. John.
Hahnville senior quarterback Dylan Keller returned to the starting role and provided a spark for the offense by rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns against South Lafourche.
Destrehan senior linebacker Malcolm Darensbourg played one of his best games of the season, finishing with several tackles and making plays all over the field in his team’s win.
You can’t play much better than senior defensive end Ricky Davis did last Friday. He had two sacks, four tackles for loss and recovered a fumble to help lead his team to victory.
