Wetland Watchers Fishing Rodeo

NORCO - The Wetland Watchers Fishing Rodeo is being held on Nov. 9 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is from 7 to 9 a.m., weigh-in is at noon and prizes and raffles will be awarded from noon to 1 p.m.The $10 entry fee will go to benefit Wetlands Conservation and the Wetland Watchers.

Prizes will be awarded for heaviest redfish, heaviest perch, heaviest speckled trout, heaviest bass, heaviest miscellaneous, most fish caught by a single person and heaviest fish caught by a child 11 years old or younger.In addition to the fishing rodeo, presentations will be given including hands-on animal encounters with baby alligators, a giant spur-high tortoise and wetland education games.

A jambalaya lunch will be included with entry fee. The fishing rodeo will be held at 1650 Lower Guide Levee Road in Norco.
