Destrehan kicker Cameron Walsh kicked a 23-yard field goal to help his team go on top of Central Lafourche. Walsh has only missed one extra point all season.
Coach Lou Valdin praised senior offensive lineman Hunter Perrin’s efforts in fighting off East St. John’s best defensive lineman. Almost all of the Tigers big runs came behind Perrin.
Destrehan kickoff specialist Kyler LeGrange has forced opposing teams to march far down the field against the Wildcats with 90 percent of his kickoffs going for touchback.
Larry Boyd had an interception and blocked a punt block for a safety. Coach Valdin said he is the team’s best defensive player and one of the best cornerbacks Hahnville has ever had.

Former Hahnville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Arthur Tregre has returned home after being hospitalized since last August following a head-on collision with St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Watson, who died in the accident.
