Destrehan junior Will Mathews shouldered the load for the Wildcats against Terrebonne, rushing for 153 yards and four touchdowns in the big Destrehan win.
Hahnville senior running back Lynn Simmons had the biggest game of his career against Thibodaux, rushing for 223 yards on 23 carries and a TD to lead Hahnville to the win.
With Terrebonne driving down the field, Destrehan junior linebacker came up with a huge interception that set up a score and put momentum back on the side of the Wildcats.
Hahnville senior kicker Craig Ford gave Thibodaux terrible field position all game by placing all of his kickoffs in the end zone. Ford also kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime.
