The 26th annual Becnel family reunion weekend was recently held at the Crowne Plaza in Kenner.

More than 200 descendants of Sidney and Malvina Becnel of Destrehan, representing six generations, attended. This year’s activities included family picture boards, children’s crafts and a photo booth, raffle baskets, 50-50 drawing, family Mass, a musical salute to family service members and veterans, dinner and a family variety show.

The reunion was hosted by members of the Louise Becnel Babin family.
