Air Force Airman 1st Class Schamayne Moses has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Her mom is Wendy Scott. Her grandmother is Vivian Scott, both of Boutte.

Throuhout the holiday season, St. Charles Parish FHE (Families for Home Education) 4H Group. led by officers Jayce Northington (secretary), Victoria Tujague (treasurer), Kasey McGill (vice-president), Jonathan Sochia (reporter) and Keaton Northington (president) will sew and distribute over 100 blankets to nursing home residents and homeless shelters.

Luling’s Knights of Columbus Council 2409 - represented by Brent Madere, KC toy chairman, Kevin Robicheaux, KC grand knight and Fay Caire, chairman of the toy fund - donated over 40 toys and gifts to the St. Charles Toy and Gift Fund.

Pam Shepard, of the New Sarpy Kindergarten Center, and Debra Gomez, Mimosa Park Elementary School, received $500 teacher mini grants from BellSouth’s Teacher Mini Grant Program.

And that’s always good news!
