Girl Scout troop learns to make jam
While working on the "Between Earth and Sky" journey, members of Luling Girl Scout Daisy Troop 20337 recently made homemade strawberry jam.

On this journey, girls have been recognizing and sharing their own special skills, and also learning about what's local and why that's important. This activity included a discussion of local foods and crops, and then using some Louisiana products – strawberries and sugar – to make homemade jam.
