Police respond to possible kidnapping, witness suicide
A Texas man killed himself in a field next to the Nicholas RV Park in Hahnville on Monday after St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene in response to a possible kidnapping.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Michael Dunn, 48, was holding a gun and arguing with a woman when deputies arrived and ordered him to drop the weapon.

“The officer gave the male subject several commands to put down his weapon down at which time the subject then raised the gun to his head and shot himself,” Capt. Pat Yoes, Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said.

Dunn was from Arlington.
