2013 Independence Day Patriotic Parade and fireworks

HOUMA - The City of Houma will be hosting a parade on Saturday, June 29.

The events will begin at 11 a.m. with a memorial service at the Veterans Memorial Park on Highway 311. The Patriotic Parade will begin at 1 p.m. at Stadium Drive and continue down Main Street before turning down Barrow Street. The grounds at the Houma- Terrebonne Civic Center located at 346 Civic Center Blvd. will open at 3 p.m. The event will feature music, fireworks, food, fun for kids, a pageant, a two-mile dash, a fly-over, a bike race and parachutists.
