Edward Henry Skena Jr. passed away at his home on Saturday June 15.

Ed, as he was known by his friends and family, was a lifelong resident of St. Rose in St. Charles Parish. After an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, Ed returned to St. Rose and eventually opened the St. Rose Hardware and Auto Supply.

In 1991, Ed was employed by the St. Charles Parish School Board as a bus driver, shop employee and driver trainer. In May of this year, Ed began his retirement from St. Charles Parish. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Henry Skena and Francis Gilardi Skena.

He is survived by former spouses Earlene Naquin Skena and Kathleen Rome. Also survived by his children; Toni Skena Silverblatt and husband David, Eddie Skena and wife Shannon and grandchildren; Paul and Anna Silverblatt and Evelyn and Madeline Skena. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the visitation at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco on Monday, June 17. Interment was private.
