Police searching for man seen taking items from Luling home
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who was photographed Thursday afternoon loading up items into his car from a Barton Avenue home.

According to Sheriff Greg Champagne, the man backed his Dodge Durango into the home’s driveway before taking items from the carport.

“After noticing he was seen, he quickly sped away in a grey Dodge Durango towards Highway 90,” Champagne said. “The Dodge Durango had some type of temporary, or paper, license plate.”

The above photo was taken by an alert neighbor. Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call 911.

Champagne made it clear that he does not believe the man in the photo is responsible for a recent string of home burglaries in Luling.
