SCB student receives honors scholarship

Evan Thomason, an eighth grader at St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan, recently received the Archbishop Joseph Francis Rummel Honors Scholarship.

The requirements are 95 to 99 percentile score on placement test, "A/B" work at elementary school, maintenance of 3.5 GPA in honors curriculum and recommendation from current school principal. Thomason will receive a yearly $3,600 scholarship while attending Archbishop Rummel High School.
