Head Start and 4-year-old preschool program

PARISHWIDE - Applications for the 2013-2014 St. Charles Parish Public Schools Head Start and 4-year-old preschool programs are now available.

Applications can be obtained daily from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the St. Charles Parish School Board Office in Luling, the G.W. Carver Early Learning Center, the East Bank Head Start Center or at any of the following school sites: A. A. Songy Kindergarten Center, Allemands Elementary, Luling Elementary, New Sarpy Elementary, Norco K-3 and St. Rose Elementary schools. Eligibility is determined according to federal or state income guidelines. Children who have a documented special need and/or disability will also be considered for the programs. Applicants for all 4-year-old programs must be 4 years of age by September 30, 2013. Family income information, a copy of the child’s birth certificate, social security card, immunization record, medical card, proof of residency, food stamp letter (if applicable) and parent’s identification must accompany the application in order to be considered for admission.
